Pass Rate: The pass rate is the percentage of dust exiting the dryer compared to the amount of dust entering the dryer. A higher pass rate indicates a larger amount of dust exiting the dryer, meaning lower drying efficiency. Furthermore, when the dryer's drying efficiency is very high, the difference in dryer performance is more pronounced using the pass rate than using overall efficiency.
Graded Drying Efficiency: Graded drying efficiency refers to the dryer efficiency calibrated according to dust particle size or particle size range. It is the ratio of the amount of dust captured within a specific particle size range to the total amount of dust entering the dryer. The overall drying efficiency of a dryer is highly dependent on the particle size of the dust being processed. Even with the same equipment operating under the same conditions, the performance of the dryer can vary significantly due to differences in dust dispersion.
